Privacy Statement

Effective: April 3, 2022

Navu is a service that helps those with websites evaluate the behavior of website visitors and increase their lead conversion rates.

Our customers’ trust and privacy is very important to us. We also respect the privacy of visitors to our website and to the websites of our users and customers.

As described above, we have three different kinds of users: Free Users, Subscribers, and Visitors. The privacy implications are somewhat different for each. However, in general, we strive to secure all of the information we collect. We do not share this information with any third party without the express permission of our users.

Users sign up and thereby give us certain identity information. we retain this information and use it to contact these people in multiple ways. We may use this information for the purpose of marketing our services, in which case users may unsubscribe and we will honor those requests. We also use this information to contact users about the operation of their service. Because of the nature of these contacts, there is no option to opt out of these contacts except by terminating the service agreement. We may also send emails containing reports and notifications that we think our users may find useful. Again, users are free to unsubscribe at any time to these.

During the sign-up process, users authorize us to access their Google Analytics data. We use this authorization to access this data periodically using Google APIs. We keep this information securely protected and reprocess it into the data needed to operate the service. We do not share these data, or the data we derive from it with any third-parties.

If and when users add our embed code to their websites, we will begin collecting data about each visitor to the user’s website(s). This data is also kept securely and never shared with anyone else without user permission.

As part of our service, we may be collecting personally identifying information about the visitors to the user’s website. In this regard, we are operating as a third-party data processor for the purposes of GDPR, CCPA, and other similar privacy regulations. It is up to the user to ensure that those visitors have been offered the appropriate opt-in and/or opt-out mechanisms. The user may contact us at any time and we will assist as required to meet privacy restriction requirements.

One of the features of our service is to provide access to data on our website to those who have been authorized to access it. It is up to the user to determine who is to be granted access. However, anyone who proves (via Google authorization) to have access to the same domain may be granted access to the same data we are collecting for that domain.

For convenience, users are able to share specific journey reports with others using an anonymous shareable link. Users should use care when doing this as we do not enforce any protection against that data being used by unauthorized parties. The URLs involved contain codes that make it difficult to access this data without a priori knowledge of the link. However, nothing stops these links from being reshared. The user should not use this sharing mechanism without proper care to ensure the privacy of the visitor whose journey may contain personally identifying information.

If you are concerned about your privacy or the privacy of your website visitors, please contact us at [email protected].
